Idaho is slaughtering 90% of wolves in the state in only two days. There are only 1,500 individual wolves in Idaho. The species has already been pushed to the brink of extinction several times, and should still be considered an endangered species. Idaho Fish & Game as well as many ranchers and hunters believe that they are a threat to livestock or elk populations (even though wolves account for .01% of livestock deaths in areas they overlap with people, and there is scientific proof that wolves do not affect elk populations - google Middleton + Elk + Wolves.) Cattle die from many more human related failures, but instead of bettering farming techniques, wolves are blamed. This is not management. This is slaughter. Wolves were delisted by President Trump before he left office, and we HAVE TO GET THEM BACK ON THE ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST. Wolves are keystone species who help maintain a healthy balance in their ecosystems. They actually HELP the environment, unlike us, and in many areas have improved water quality, enhanced rivers, forests, and endangered species. Montana is going to follow Idaho and murder wolves as well. Hunters will be allowed to gas mothers and pups in their dens, electrocute, and murder them without hardly any regulation.
